7/24/16 - Denver, CO

Today we drove into Denver.  We went to Great Divide Brewing just as they opened. This brewery has won 18 Great American Beer Festival medals.  Jim had a list of other breweries he wanted to go to.  The next one, Zephyr Brewing, was next door to a Diners Drive-ins and Dives place, Biju’s Little Curry Shop.  We had lunch there and then went to Zephyr and had a beer.  At Zephyr we met up with two men we had met in Tulsa, Joe and Russ, and we all visited breweries the rest of the day.  We went to Our Mutual Friend Brewing, Ratio Brewing, Epic Brewing, Black Shirt Brewing, Crooked Stave Brewing, Great Divide Barrel House, and Beryl’s Beer.  Epic Brewing was our 700th brewery to visit since we have been keeping track.  Joe and Russ bought us a bottle of Epic Smoked & Oaked beer to take with us and drink at a later date.  We had such a good day out with them -- they knew all the breweries and where they were located.  On the way home we drove through the town of Broomfield and went to 4 Noses Brewing.
