9/1/16 - Lakeview Campground, Gunnison National Forest, CO

Last night a bear came through camp and the trailer next to us had their cooler absconded by it.  They found it after they got up and it had a big bite in it.  Today we didn’t do much of anything,  Jim worked on the blog early this morning and I made breakfast burritos.  Then we went for a walk around the campground and down the street to the marina.  We sat on the deck and had a beer before returning to camp.  We sat outside and had some lunch.  Then we went on a hike through the woods near camp on a multi-use trail.  I picked some wild flowers for the Casita.  On the hike we found a strange teepee-like structure of trees.  Jim joked that it looked like something Bigfoot may have made.  It started to thunder so we returned to camp.  It rained the rest of the afternoon.  We didn’t get many steps yesterday because of the loop ride we took over Cottonwood Pass.  Today we made up for it.  Jim wanted to see the Texans and Cowboys game but it wasn’t on here so he settled for the Broncos and Cardinals.  Jim totally caught up the blog.
