9/4/16 - River Fork Camper and Trailer Park, Lake City, CO

Today we took a drive up Slumgullion Pass.  On the way we drove around Lake San Cristobal, the second largest natural lake in Colorado.  We saw a Bald Eagle there.  We stayed at the city campground on this lake the last time we visited Lake City in 2009.  There are no hookups and it costs the same amount of money as in town with full hookups.  After driving over the pass, we stopped at North Clear Creek Falls.  We returned home and washed the sheets.  Afterwards we walked along the Henson Creek Trail.  Jim wanted to watch the UT/Notre Dame football game so we went to a bar and watched it until halftime.  They were having a concert in the city park as we left the bar.  We returned back to the Casita and I fixed a salad and leftovers from last night and he finished watching the game.  Texas won in double overtime – yay!
